The System Sequence

Many curly hair products focus on coating the outside of the hair with oils, butters, and heavier surface-level ingredients.
While this can condition the hair and create the appearance of moisture, it can sometimes feel heavy on curls that are easily weighed down or that resist moisture.
Our two-step system uses two focused formulas, each with a specific job.
Step 1
Pure Moisture uses lightweight humectants, NMF-inspired ingredients, and free amino acids to provide hydration and conditioning without heavy oils, butters, or waxes.
Hair is conditioned and prepped for styling.
Step 2
Moisture Preserve uses film-forming styling polymers to create a firm, flexible cast around styled curls as the hair dries, helping reduce visible frizz and maintain definition.
Once dry, scrunch the cast to reveal a softer, more touchable finish.

Once the hair is completely dry, the cast can be scrunched:

Once hair is completely dry, you scrunch out the cast with your hands.

The Overall Picture
A Focused Two-Step System
Pure Moisture and Moisture Preserve work together as two focused steps: one for lightweight hydration and conditioning, one for cast-forming styling hold.
Apply Pure Moisture to wet hair as the conditioning step. Follow with Moisture Preserve while the hair remains wet to help define curls.
Allow the hair to dry completely, then scrunch to soften the cast. Between wash days, a light mist of water can soften and reactivate the styling film for restyling.
Results vary based on hair condition, application amount, climate, drying method, sleep protection, and the products layered underneath.

The Refresh
Reactivate with just water
Between wash days, lightly mist the hair with water to soften and reactivate the existing styling film.
The styling polymers in Moisture Preserve are water-reactivatable:
- A light mist of water softens the outer gel film and allows it to reactivate
- As hair dries again, definition and hold return without layering extra product
Reshape curls with your hands and allow the hair to dry again. Add more product only where needed.
